This is the first year {THE FIRST YEAR} in the nine years Wyatt and I have been together that we did not have plans with his family on the fourth of July. It was as if the universe was turned inside out! We hardly knew what to do with ourselves.

Luckily, the Engh’s took care of that.

Ice Cream Sandwiches (√Check.)

Sparklers. (Check).

Lovebirds. (√Check.)

Friends and Neighbors. (Check).

A fireworks show to light up even the most loathsome soul. (√Check. √Check.)
